Two Days on the Coast: Grand-Bassam and Assinie
Abidjan → Grand-Bassam → Assinie
East along the coast: on day one, walk the colonial streets of the first capital; on day two, go to the weekend beach of Abidjan's elite. From late October to early November you will catch the Abissa festival.

Getting aroundA private car or ride-hailing is easiest; you can also take a gbaka (minibus) from the Bassam station in Treichville, much cheaper but slower. The Abidjan–Grand-Bassam expressway is tolled.
