The Second Capital: Bingerville

Cocody → Bingerville

In 1900 yellow fever drove the capital from Grand-Bassam up to this plateau. Today Bingerville is close to Cocody yet as quiet as another era: a colonial botanical garden, a museum in an art school, and a fishing village on the lagoon.
